After arriving safely in Brisbane, Choir 56 spent the first four days last week getting ready to start their tour in Australia at the QCCC center. We then had our first performances at Easterfest in Toowoomba, Australia’s largest Christian music festival which over 20,000 people attended. We attended an Easter service where Darlene Zschech was the worship leader, a good treat for the children who also got a chance to interact with some of the artists who took part in Easterfest. Geoffrey and Kendra also got to meet their Australian sponsors which was a great experience for both of them.
In the last week the children have gone on a plane, seen a new country, performed and stayed in host homes – all for the first time! We have performed in Toowoomba and the Lockyear Valley since we arrived and are very grateful for all the support we have received from the media and the public so far.
Thanks Australia and stay tuned to keep updated with Choir 56!
