CHOIR 70 – SMALL TOWN, BIG HEARTS!

Choir 70 recently traveled to the town of Enterprise, Alabama and we were blown away by the hearts of the people and the generosity that they showered on us. Watoto Children’s  Choirs have been visiting Enterprise since 1998, performing concerts, meeting new people and reconnecting with long time partners of Watoto. Our visits to Enterprise are always unique because Watoto’s longtime friend, Doctor Mike McQueen, organizes a day of dental, eye and ear checkups for the entire team. We all get first class treatment and medical care free of charge.

By the end of the day, our teeth had been cleaned and checked, hearing tests had been completed and some of us even ended up with new glasses!

It was an amazing day! We were able to sit down and chat with Doctor McQueen; here’s what he had to say:

Of course we had to take a few pictures as well!

  1. I had the pleasure of seeing and hearing the children of Watoto in High River last night. To see those smiling faces, to hear the clear voices, to watch them dance was not only inspirational but humbling. I left with a lump in my throat and love in my heart. Music and dance is in each of us and what a universal way of spreading the word.
    What a group!
