It was two months ago when Choir 74 landed in Hong Kong. Our time here has been full of fun, meeting new people, hard work and has been a great success!
For any tour to be a success, there must be team work between the choir travelling and the key team members in the country we are visiting. There was no better way for us to start in Hong Kong than with a BBQ for everyone involved with the tour. It was so great for us as a team to connect with the Watoto Hong Kong staff, host families and all of the volunteers. While the smoke from roasted pork, chicken wings and fish balls rose up from the BBQ, there were great connections made that generated a team spirit and good momentum to have a successful tour.
From the start of the tour to the very end, our hosts, volunteers and partners have faithfully and relentlessly supported us. We had an overwhelming amount of people come to the “Oh What Love” concerts. There were times that all of the seats were full, so people had to watch by live stream in nearby rooms. Thanks to all everyone who helped us share the love of Jesus and raise support to raise the next generation of African leaders.
Choir 74 also had time for lots of fun. We especially loved when we went to Disney land!
We had a great Christmas party in Hong Kong before we left. Our time was full of food, friends and laughter.
Now off to Malaysia! If you are interested to see the choir, please visit http://www.watoto.com for more information.
Happy New Year!
